“In other words, someone doesn’t become a great potential match simply because they’re not
a bigot,
a cheat,
a eugenicist,
or a depressive manipulative.
You need to receive those check-marks just to get to zero with me. You also need to be not-married-to-someone-else. That doesn’t win you plus points, it’s just a requirement. But under the current OKCupid schema, you do win 250/250 from me for simply being available. Oops.” —What’s Wrong with OKCupid’s Matching Algorithm

Decaffeinating
I recently decided to switch from coffee to tea at my doctor’s behest. Wanting to know just how much caffeine I was/am now consuming, I did a little research. The Mayo Clinic suggests keeping your intake below 500mg, and lists the following amounts on its site (amongst several more):
—- Coffee
330mg - Starbucks Pikes Place (16oz)
150mg - Starbucks Latte (16oz)
95 - 200mg - Drip Coffee (8oz)
—- Tea
14-61mg - Black Tea (8oz)
24-40mg - Green Tea (8oz)
—- Energy Drinks
207mg - 5 Hour Energy (2oz)
76-80mg - Red Bull (8oz)
Not only do I like your blog (haha I found it) but I also am OBSESSED with you secretly. Ok here we go.. I got this idea from a Tumblr spam I got once lol.. I think you like me too and you were always too shy to admit it :3 go to crushmatches(dót)com (wtf it wont let me link regular) and make an account there. Then look up the profile 'gottagetme19' (me obviously) I left body pictures.. if you can guess who I am hit me up and we'll hang soon. You need a C C but its free
As a copywriter, I definitely appreciate a well-thought spam message. Kudos to you, spammer. Unfortunately, my blog is insanely easy to find if you know my name (which is in the URL), but I’m sure this will work on others.
“This is the problem with our infatuation with the things we make: we think that things we make can solve our problems. But our problems are much more complex than that…The issue isn’t the accuracy of the bombs you have; it’s how you use the bombs you have, and, more importantly, whether you ought to use bombs at all.”
—Malcolm Gladwell, The strange tale of the Norden bombsight
“Manufacturers used to dispatch reps to the pro shop to educate us on their latest and greatest technologies…They thought they were arming us with facts that would impress the customers. But, it turned out, none of that stuff mattered. In fact, it had a negative effect. When you describe things in terms people don’t understand, they tend not to trust you as much. Trust is important.”

“As much as I love Apple, Inc, I would happily give up my iPhone to put food on the plates of starving children. Steve Jobs turned his company into a decade long leader in the truly new space of mobile computing. Bill Gates decided to eliminate malaria. Who do you think we should be putting up on a pedestal for our children to emulate?”
